Flower Stitch Instructions
- Insert the right needle into the front of the stitch that is third down from the second stitch on the left needle. This space forms the center of the flower. Draw a loop through and leave it on the right needle.
- Knit 2 stitches.
- Create a second loop in the same stitch.
- Knit 2 stitches.
- Form a third loop in the same stitch.
Note: Ensure that each loop stitch is loose enough to lie flat, preventing any distortion in your work.
Worked Flat
Cast on a multiple of 8, + 1.
- Row 1 – Right side: Knit all stitches.
- Row 2 – Wrong side: Purl all stitches.
- Row 3: Knit all stitches.
- Row 4: Purl all stitches.
- Row 5: K3, flower, *k4, flower; work from * to last 2 stitches, k2.
- Row 6: P2, (p2tog, p1) x2, p2tog, *p3, (p2tog, p1) x2, p2tog; work from * to last 2 stitches, p2.
- Row 7: Knit all stitches.
- Row 8: Purl all stitches.
- Row 9: Knit all stitches.
- Row 10: Purl all stitches.
- Row 11: K7, *flower, k4; work from * to last 2 stitches, k2.
- Row 12: P6, *(p2tog, p1) x2, p2tog, p3; work from * to last 3 stitches, p3.
Repeat rows 1–12.
